About
UserPlus.org wants to share usability knowledge with web designers, web developers, usability specialists and all others interested in creating user friendly websites. By creating design patterns and best practices we want to make the existing knowledge usable in daily practice.
Who is behind UserPlus.org:
Lonneke Spinhof, working as a usability specialist.
She has been active in usability research since 2002 and often did research in collaboration with industry. While working with industry she discovered that the gap between research and daily practice is still way to big. Much of the knowledge from research never gets to the people doing everyday work in the field. She discovered that communicating usability requirements and knowledge in design patterns and best practices helps to close the gap.
Yves Ferket, as an internet consultant.
He started building websites in the mid 90’s and started asking himself why people did certain things online. Abandoning design, he since then works as a freelancer figuring out what has/had to happen to his clients sites, mainly by using his usability, web analytics and user experience skills. He worked for Planet Internet, Telenet, De Standaard Online, Sony Europe, Flair, Libelle, …
Nick De Mey, new business development
Nick has a background as industrial designer and innovation consultant. He loves to walk the borderline between new media, trends and innovation. Nick did research within all of these fields and now applies all the lessons learned in this ambitious USERPLUS project.
